I'd have liked to see him get a shot, but this was the stretch of the order that got to him for 2 doubles and a run 1st time up.

I think Butera likes to go to a righty for the middle innings after Alvarez to draw in pinch hitters. that way, he can go to matchups later in the game.

Cash held back on pinch hitters so Varland faced righties. OK.

This bullpen is so depressing. While making the playoffs would be fun we just have no shot at doing anything with this group of pitchers.

Ribalta was the guy in the bullpen I was least worried about. The first 3 sliders were terrific. Of course is was a slider that DeLuca hit.
