I will say, the Lerner's should be embarrassed that no matter how good the team plays and how close we're getting to a legit playoff spot the trade rumors for our best players persist. What Mark has done to this franchise is really sad. They should've sold when they intended to. I get people here hate him but I would 100% rather have Ted owning this team right now than the Lerner kids who don't care at all.

This was ownership's plan all along. They're making a nice tidy profit while their investment continues to increase in value. They wanted to build a team like the Brewers, Guardians, or Rays. Unless a player is willing to take an insanely team friendly deal, they're a going to be traded

If thats all it takes, absolutely. But the Angels should get significantly more than that for Detmers.

I'm enjoying all of these hilarious trade packages being put together online for Abrams. Fanside has a Braves one where they don't include one top 100 prospect lol. Jim Bowdens is pretty bad too with Lombard and Volpe for Abrams (how did MLB let this guy anywhere near the team?). He's 25-years old with nearly 3 years of control and has basically been the best player in baseball for the last month of the season. He's a legit MVP candidate. It would have to somewhat rival the Soto package with at least one top 15-10 prospect. I don't see how anybody but the Dodgers could do this?

The last player I want to take a look at is Chase Silseth. I have talked about the idea of trading for other Halos arms, most notably Jose Soriano and Sam Bachman. However, I think Silseth is a very intriguing arm who could help out the bullpen.

Silseth was a starter for a while, but he has moved to the bullpen and looks very good. He has a 2.79 ERA on the season with 47 strikeouts in 38.2 innings. Silseth’s four pitch mix is built for swing and miss. It pops on stuff models and consistently gets empty swings. That is what the Nats need badly.

I think the Soto trade will go down as the gold standard. I mean, Rizzo absolutely nailed that trade.

Player C: .938 OPS

  Player A is James Wood. Player B is Juan Soto. Player C is CJ Abrams. We essentially traded Juan Soto for two Juan Sotos.
