I trust Ribalta. Why does Butera want Lovelady instead of Ribalta? Lefty-lefty matchup is not as important if Ribalta is a better pitcher.

he just put 2 guys on with 1 out and a guy who crushes righties coming up.

Problem with Lovelady is he gives up contact. In this case, the soft contact flare was worse than the fly he got on teh next batter.

Butera works with what he has. He's a magician, but sometimes folks figure out the trick.

I would hope attendance would pick up. I think a lot of people just assumed the worst for 2026 and checked out. Obviously the team is better than they, or nearly anyone else thought.

He was pretty hot last year for a while, would be nice to seem him pick it back up again. He seems quick and athletic, he has potential to be a decent major leaguer if he can tap that ability.
