A defeat which will be laid at Tuchel's door - as has been the case during his entire tenure, he couldn't resist tinkering with the formation and went far too defensive (essentially playing with a back six once they took the lead). Inviting Argentina to come on to them was never going to end well. On balance, the GP have exceeded expectations, so it will go down as a posititve tournament. Spain probably most pleased - I suspect they would rather play Argentina, given the Spanish style of play.

Ah, well - onwards to 2030...
