Given the "heat dome" about to hit us tomorrow, I'm glad the game will be played at Mercedes-Benze indoor Stadium, home of the Falcons. And I hate indoor stadiums. Somehow these have had sod and real grass for the games. The NFL should do that.

I'm flying into Barcelona on Sunday. Spain will either win or lose the World Cup final during my flight over there. I assume it won't be a big deal because its Catalonia and I imagine they don't cheer for Spain the way that Scousers don't cheer for England. But could be an interesting time if I'm wrong.

It's a surprize - and it isn't...Spain have been France's bogey team for some time. FIFA well pleased as their plan to maximize the TV audience, by having late-stage 'blockbuster' games, has worked out - it's the first time, at a WC, that the top four world ranked teams have made the semi-finals (1 - Spain, 2 - Argentina, 3 - France, 4 - GP).

Well I did and bet on them before the tourney. And doenst pay much. They were in of the favorites. But yeah they didn’t seem so impressive in the early games. Go England. That one pays a little more.

Good shirt to keep! I remember the Falklands war. The Argentine junta was proud of its record of kidnapping, torturing, and murdering people it claimed were liberals or even socialists. See Jacobo Timerman, "Prisoner without a Name, Cell without a Number". Best I remember, the Reagan administration was torn: they loved the Argentine junta, but coul not abandon Great Britain.
