FWIW, ESPN's daily fantasy advice said to load up on Cleveland's lefty hitters because the Guardians were facing Zack Littell, who gives up a lot of homers. I would also note that, as a guy who gives up a lot of contact, he also has a high batting average against (.271 vs MLB average of .236 and half of it is hard and flies. On the bright side, one good lefty, Daniel Schneeman, starts on the bench. We get Rhys Hoskins instead.
While Poulin is the opener, it should be noted that the 1-3-5 hitters are lefties. Cleveland did not alter their order to dodge the opener to move up righties, probably because the only righty in the lineup is Hoskins.
Nats go with Mead instead of Vivas at 3rd vs an RHP, with Millas getting the alternate start against Bibee (Millas pretty much only starts vs RHP). Crews and Young are in right and center and Wood DH'ng rather than Tena.
Bibee is an example of why won loss tells you more about luck than performance. He's actually doing a quarter run better than average in terms of ERA and his FIP is a touch below average. That said, his 20.8 K% is a career low and his 8.4 BB% is a career high.
With Travis Bazzana and Curtis Mead playing, you'd figure Outback Steakhouse would be running a promo, mate.
