We may have found something in Mead.

:ballbat:

He's on a roll.  The team seems to have really strong coaching, seeing guys like Mead improving before our eyes is great to see.

he's been much more effective against RHP this year  than House. i think that they'd love for him to take over 3rd.

I want House to be successful, he's loaded with talent but if Mead steps up, all the better.

How long do you stick with MM?   He’s been great so far, but with just about everyone in the pen available, you have to start matching up

Everybody wanted Mikolas gone after he stunk up April, but he's found solid ground and is contributing now.

House absolutely kills lefties. I buy that he's still a work in progress. Get the D back to where it is supposed to be, and become adequate vs RHP, and he can balance a lefty-handed hitting lineup with Abrams, Wood, and Lile.

Meanwhile vs RHP  this year before tonight:
Mead: 62 PAs, .204 / .371 / .434, wRC+ 127
House: 115 PAs, .174 / .220 / .330, wRC+ 51

how do you challenge that? it's 2 outs, bases empty, 1st pitch of the AB?  Somebody has to talk to Wood before every AB about whether to challenge at all

Don't understand why they took out Mikolas for this inning. Let him continue to cook.

Crews with a ridiculous throw.   And that’s the game

Good effort by Luis to race in there but that was just a really good bunt. I'm still mad they took up Mikolas. You have him and Littell finally figuring themselves, let them stay in the game.

agree on the bunt. Just dropping the Crews dumb throw compounded things. A good cut and he can get the runner going into 3rd

I mean he came in trucking to try to get that ball, it would have been difficult to get the guy out at first base too with that bunt.

timing  on my post was a  little late. I was talking about the dropped relay of Crews's throw.

Yeah I don't think they would have caught that guy regardless but I could see that.
