Butera not allowed to challenge? C&D say that Senger was blocking the plate, so a challenge should have given the Nats a run
he came out to challenge, and the crew chief  Tichnor enforced a rule that says  you  challenge from the dugout.

I like Alvarez, but at some point, they have to stop pulling the starters.   Irvin a couple of days ago was absolutely dealing, now Littell, who isn’t quite dealing but pitching well, pulled with even less pitches
Soto took him deep last time. Alvarez's workload is practically scheduled to pick  up Littell. There  was a story saying they are keeping him on a starter's schedule

that's a play that's good in reality but which gets punished in some advanced stats. Lowers the run expectancy slightly from 2d & 3d with 1 out, none in, vs runner on 3d 2 outs, 1 in.

As if a run is bad? Or that a bunt is always bad.

If it were Wood up, 2nd and 3rd 1 out, I'd swing away, but it was Nunez, so get the 1 run.

Greatest offense of all time.

Also is Soto going to hit a HR vs us every game for the rest of his career?

it's  weird, but with Alvarez backing up Littell, I'm almost looking forward to Littell starts.

Man, Alvarez is nasty.   Why didn’t he tear up the minors?

Yes. Until Butera agrees, with me, to walk Soto every time. Even if the bases are loaded!

It’s still a kick in the nuts every time we have to sit through this. I understand what we got in return but Soto not being here still sucks.

Was it Harper that Maddon walked every time up in a series and sent into a funk? Try it with Soto
