With a righty primary pitcher, the Marlins have their lefty hitters, Hicks, Marsee, and Caissie, in the lineup.

Lovelady opens for the Nats. Littell did well last time coming in after an opener, but here, with Edwards and Lopez at the top of the order, the opener is not getting a platoon advantage in the first inning. You might see Lovelady try to go 2 innings and get through up  to 7 players.

Garcia finally back in the lineup after a late pinch hitting appearance yesterday. Millas catches after Ruiz started 2 in a row.

True to his name, Junk throws  his fastball (94 MPH) only 31% of the time. 3 out of every  5 pitches are sliders (84) and changes (87). Slider is his most effective pitch. Low K% (17%) with a low BB rate (5%).

Littell? Lots of dingers (3.62 / 9, 23.6 HR/FB), not many Ks (11.3 K%), inability to strand runners (59.2%)

Time to beat down Miami amnd take solid control of second place in the NLE. And reach .500.

Let's go Littell. Demonstrate you've still got it.

that fastball looks bad today.

CJ hits the curve driving in Garcia and House.

3-0

Somebody has to stop James  from challenging. His eye is great but he  can't challenging the edge pitches, especially early in the game and count

you love to abuse  guys

Seriously,  it's  not the spot to push Lovelady. 30 pitches, and you have a righty-lefty- swiitch-righty. .

earlier  in the year, he would  have thought it was out, dogged it down to 1st, and ended up with a double. Nice hustle from CJ. His head is just so much better than it has been in the past
