Marshall gave up seven runs on seven hits and two walks over two innings in an abbreviated start in his last game vs. Milwaukee. The Brewers opened a 4-0 first-inning lead and Marshall had a tough time getting on track. He threw 48 pitches in his shortest start of the season. The lefty is 2-1 with a 2.70 ERA on the road compared to 2-2 with a 4.30 ERA at home.

Nationals: Bergmann has been arguably the Nationals' best starting pitcher this season, but he had nothing in the tank against the Pirates last Saturday. After Washington gave him a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning off left-hander Tom Gorzelanny, Bergmann quickly gave it up in the bottom of the second inning when Pittsburgh batted around and scored six runs.
