Mendoza should watch out. Cora was fired with a bigger lead

The only one who should lose his job tonight is Littell.

Guy doesn’t need to be placed on the DL.   Just cut him tonight.
could call the Bonanos if we need an injury

Littell needs to never start again

Three godawful starts in a row. He’s given up 7, 8 & 8 earned runs in those outing’s.
He is what he is……washed up. He’s not part of our future so why does he ever see the field again?

Don’t care what anybody says. Soto being on the Mets is brutal. It’s a giant kick to the nuts.

Yup, hurts more than Harper leaving IMO

I hope the Mets fans gave Vivas a hand when he came up to leadoff this inning

He was the 32nd best starter in MLB last season.  How can he possibly suck so bad?

I'm leaving the thread. Celts-76ers on. If NY is winning, then I maybe can get some satisfaction at Philly's expense

1-0 or 8-0, it doesn’t really matter if we can’t score a single run.

Agree.  Now let’s see if Toboni has the nads to tell Mini Me he made a mistake.  Rizzo didn’t.

With a 3-2 count...how can you just watch a heater go right by you for strike 3?

Worst loss of the season. Mets just got swept by the awful Rockies and now we just go in and bend over for them. Pathetic.

Hate it when we're a struggling team's "get well" team.

I know the game turned on Vivas error on the ground ball that could have been a DP to get out of the big inning, but Littell was skating on thin ice. At some point, that ice was going to crack. Even if you knock out the 3 runners on and the batter and say none should have scored, he still melted down and allowed 3 runs after that, including the solo shot. Maybe with less stress they don't have that success in the next inning, but a vet needs to shake off the mistake and not just lose it.

No excuses for the offense, either. There's been too many easy innings against the ChiSox and these guys. I suppose it's a bit of reversion to true talent levels, but it's like they faded right about the time writers were picking up on their success before that.
