Frank Howard at Comiskey Park I. A friend from Oxon Hill was there in 1966 (maybe 65?) when Howard hit a line-drive that the shortstop leaped for. It kept rising, and hit behind the CF fence with a sound like a doom of thunder.  Maybe 8 feet above the CF's leap and over the 20 foot wall. He was a power-hitter.

"Baseball Bill" Holdforth was known to follow the Nats a bit back in the day.  He was an OHHS grad, and famous for harassing Bob Short at Memorial Stadium when the Texas Rangers visited Baltimore.
