thanks.

It's been pointed out that Palllante has big reverse splits, so loading the lineups with lefties might not pay off. Might have been a good night to DH Wiemer instead of Tena, or DH Wood and play Wiemer in right.

A lead off hitter who gets on base...that works!

Nunez scoops the grounder to his left. That's not Luis G. playing 2B.

Littell is  being efficient. May be able to go 6, which would do wonders for this bullpen.

Also, he'll probably K a couple of times the rest of the night because I'm posting this, but Wood seems to be bringing his K rate down some. Chicago was a disaster, but the numbers since then are in line with his career in terms of BBs and Ks. Too few PAs to be meaningful, but 15 BB%, 30 K% over 33 PAs.

Not a leadoff hitter, though. I'm hoping Nassim learns to take walks, and then...

Wood is no 1B. RF is perfect.

we'll see. What I would say is he hasn't made mistakes in right so far and doesn't look like he's loafing or not trying.

It'll be another thing to b!+ch about Dave and Riz if it turns out he's better in right, where he played in the minors, than left, where he was thrown into in the majors.

MLB Network just showed Woods’ catch. The host actually said “Are those two broadcasting from tin cans? You can barely hear them!”

Millas's ability to take a walk is a nice skill. He's had a little hard luck on contact with a sub - .200 BABIP, but with a 15% BB rate, just a .220 average (his xBA) would give him close to a .350 OBP.

glad it was just one. now get it back.

Even after that inning, he's just at 70. that was just a 14  pitch inning

Failure to add on...will cost the game. Especially with no relief pitchers...

so, Waldichuk, Varland, Henry and Lord diddn't pitch Sunday, and Waldichuk has had 2 days off. So figure Waldichuk for 2, Varland for 1, then Henry is ideal, with Lord the extra inning guy if needed.
