eh, maybe he needs more work?

Of course, you need your mop up guys to mop up  or else you have to burn your top guys

Butera seems loath to pitch relievers on consecutive days.

OK, time for a reality check. I have to admit that the first six games were entertaining and we should have been 4-2. I’m afraid that will be the zenith of the season. One glaring mistake was not signing Hopkins when it was rumored. Mikolas is freakin useless and should be released not DFA’ed. Toboni has to grow a pair and send Wood to Rochester after the homestand with a 1B glove. Catcher is a black hole and I don’t see anyone ready to step in.

Dodgers did Dodgers things to our pitchers, especially the ones we all thought were the #4 and #5. They are going to go off.

Through 8 games, the team has scored 5 or more runs 6  times, double digits twice. 3 of the 5 losses were when we gave up double digits, one when we gave up 6. The 3-2 loss to Philly and the 6-5 loss were the only close losses.

It'd be nice to win tomorrow, but I want to win the Cardinals series.
