Irvin melting. We could have used more runs in the top of the 2nd and 4th

Second time through the order

are you suggesting Irvin should be a multi-inning reliever?

Just DFA Ruiz. Swallow what’s left of that contract. He’s not a big leaguer. Enough of this.

Nunez should have caught that. It was on a bounce. There was no way any catcher was going to throw out the runner with that jump. But that ball is catchable and it's Nunez' job to catch it

He has pop, and with Lile in front of him and CJ behind him, you figure he's somewhat protected from righty relievers. This is  the lineup and order from the first game.

He has pop indeed, good call

So Weimer gets the righty, but CJ gets the righty too?

Elias:
Quote
Joey Wiemer is the first player in franchise history (WSH/MON) to reach base in each of his first six career plate appearances with the club.  The previous record was four, done three times:
Ildemaro Vargas: Aug. 3, 2022
Larry Walker: Aug. 16, 1989
Tom Foley: July 13 - July 24, 1986

Impressive! I'd be more impressed if he could finish the season with a 1+ WAR, though🙏
