Nats' lineup added. CJ drops way down, House moves way up. Looks like Garcia and Chappy will platoon at 1B

I like the CJ move for a few reasons. At most, he's seeing Boyd twice. Not a great obp guy v lefties. Gives Weimer a better chance at seeing a lefty so "protects" him some. That Lile -Weimer- Abrams stretch is the only spot good for lefty relief. House and Chappy are in nice spots for righty hitters early on. Meanwhile, your best batter gets the most PAs ("best," at least by projections).

I think I will understand Butera even if I don't agree.

Let's go, one more year of suffering! 😅

All jokes aside, our batting lineup wouldn't be so bad if we had a legit player instead of Weimer and a proven 1B.

                               Who datt?

Alexa Datt (host and reporter).

Formerly with the St Louis Cardinals broadcasts. (Did Bob Carpenter recommend her?)

I remember her from watching the Cardinals' games a few years ago. She's very positive and joyful. Might help us get thru this depressing year😅

Counting a lot on House to have hard contact and elevate out of the 3 hole. Ks ok if his contact is hard

I initially would say I would like that lineup if Chappy and Abrams were flipped, but JCA gave a good explanation.

I cringed seeing Daylen Lile as DH, still I admit Wiemer is a quality defensive option. I'd really like to read a fluff article about Lile grinding out defensive reps before games.

Here we go. Another poor to mediocre season, but hope for the (not too distant) future.

0-3, 2Ks to start. Credit to Butera for getting the team in mid-season form already.
