Hes on the 40 man and hits LHP well. Its probably just to give CJ a day off
he'll be gone tomorrow. They'll be limited on how much they use Varland and Perez and Lord so I imagine they'll call up Granillo.

Chaparro optioned back to Rochester.

Someone is placing Kalshi bets on these moves, right?

Put Yoyo on the 40-man. No need for both Chappy and Abimilec Ortiz.

Granillo, Schultz up, Chaparro down, and Beeter to the IL.

Schultz had  a day off yesterday, Granillo   2 days off.

Perez outright to AAA. Ribalta recalled. I think this was the first day he could be brought back.

Via The Nats Report:
Quote
Nationals will be calling up RHP Shawn Dubin.

He debuted with Triple-A Rochester yesterday, throwing a scoreless inning.

Dubin owns a 4.81 ERA with a 22.3% K rate and 10.2% BB rate over 88 MLB innings (Astros, Orioles from 2023–25). Previously DFA’d by Houston, claimed by Baltimore, and later spent brief time with Arizona’s Triple-A before being released.

What happened to Max Kranick? Did I miss something?

Pretty sure he's getting a physical due to having an injury last season

i just hope this doesn't mean Ribalta is going back to Rochester. He's been successful with the MLB club and in AAA this year. It would be good for the system if some of the internal guys weren't the first ones out. I'm hoping it is Granillo, who hasn't shown much yet.

he's not ready to return last i saw. Will likely be moved to the 60-day IL.

They will need a roster spot for Dubin.  I'll be curious whether they move Henry to the 60 day IL or whether they drop a player off the 40 man roster.

Cionel Perez has declared free agency rather than accept an assignment to Rochester.

I guess that opens a roster spot.

Don't need both Chappy and Abimilec. And YoYo seems better than either.

I'm guessing they'll prefer Abi since he's a lefty and Chappy and YoYo are righties. He's been pretty good at AAA too, if not as good as YoYo.

Abi is also on the 40-man already

one has to go to Dubin. That's the spot created by Perez declining the outright. After that, are we still below 40?

With only Beeter and Henry on the short IL, I don't think there's a candidate for the 60 day unless things are really bad for Henry.

Rutledge DFA’d to make room for Krancik. One year with a team option for year two.

Krancik immediately heads to the 15-day IL

Camarato says Krancik's contract is $800k with the 27 option the greater of $850k or $50k above league minimum
