well, I'll guess 3 appearances in 3 games vs the Phillies might have impacted Lovelady, but then they threw him for a batter yesterday. Maybe that explain Poulin coming in in the 8th.

After the game, where Yean was great, they sent him down over 3 relievers with ERAs of 7.76 or higher to make room for a reliever who has a career MLB ERA of 16.50

Yean will get a call soon, probably just after the ASB if not for the NYY series when somebody is IL'd. He was just up as the swappable 8th guy. This is likely similar to Palmquist's first appearance when we fell in love.

TBH, I can't even keep track of who is in the bullpen now. Of the relievers with over 10 IP this year with the Nats, the only one who is active with an ERA higher than Lord's 4.04 is Cornelio at 7.94. If you want to say Cornelio rather than Yean should have been sent down, I won't disagree.

I guess you are looking at Lawrnece and Palmquist counting Lawrence's 2 prior stops? With the Nats, Lawrence is 5.40. Palmquist has mostly opened. relieved once, opened twice. He had one bad appearance.

Per Zuck: Yean was sent down because the bullpen was taxed after Cavalli's short outing and Yean wasn't going to be able to pitch again for a few days.
