As usual, we meet when the gates open on the second floor of the restaurant in center field, weather permitting.
(Someone must know what it's called these days).

Unfortunately, we've lost several WMFF members over these last few years...it would be a shame for anyone who hasn't been to a M&G to let another year go by without putting a face to the avatar...while you can!

These M&G's are 100% devoid of politics, and last I heard, we don't bite!

Meaningless Rant On:

I'm really pleased that a number of the usual suspects will once again be making the annual M&G on Saturday, September 12th and look forward to seeing each and every one of them again...

Conversely, I'm disappointed that some prominent long-time members (some for more than 15 years) and frequent contributors who live in/around the DMV have yet to join us at a M&G and don't appear to be joining us again this year...

We've had members and friends from West Virginia, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Florida, New York, even Canada, etc., and yet some local folks who routinely visit Nats Park and Audi Field can't find it within themselves to make a cameo appearance...even once.

So be it...it just seems pretty odd to me. Just don't complain that you regret that you "never had an opportunity to meet so-and-so" when so-and-so ends up with his/her own In Memoriam thread...because you did have an opportunity!

i'm one of those long time posters who has yet to make it to a M&G. I'm not retired like most of y'all, and have typically missed due to family obligations. I appreciate Vark for organizing this every year, but let's refrain from judging those who are not able to attend. If anything, that attitude is likely to drive away folks from wanting to attend in the future.
