Really, with guys like Raleigh,Henderson , and Armstrong on the bench, no reason for Smith bregman and Buxton to face same handed pitching trailing in the last 3 innings

yes. But if a righty comes in to face Bregman or Buxton, you pinch hit, just like you should have when a righty came in to pitch to Smith

for everyone it's small numbers. Unless he is playing through covid, you send him up rather than Smith v Machado when 1 swing can tie it. IDGAF how many outs before, all will be forgiven on the next swing
