Yale hires FCS Coach of the Year Kevin Cahill from Lehigh as its new head football coach. He had been Associate Head Coach and OC for 5 years under Tony Reno. Reno resigned due to health issues last week. I guess these Ivy jobs are very secure and must have big endowments to make them attractive.
Major transfers from Yale include Ezekiel Larry to UVA (led Ivies in sacks as an edge rusher), Michael Bennett III (OT, to Oregon) and Nico Brown (WR, FCS all american, led FCS in yards/game). Also their best D lineman, who sat out 2025 due to injury and lost Ivy eligibility (Egodogbare - to Houston).
Abu Kamara (safety/ LB) is returning as captain.
