Flexors are often the first diagnosis before the UCL is found to be torn and Tommy John is needed. I think Herz and Gray had issues after TJ surgery. Maybe that is something to do with recovery plans

Yes both had TJ and when they ramped up for rehab starts they both reported the flexor strain. I’m not sure we are addressing the same timeline.

Parker's elbow tightened up per Butera. Heading for an MRI.

Palmquist or Henry should be heading up soon.

Mitchell Parker’s elbow tightened up on those last pitches he threw in the 7th, when his velocity dropped 5 mph. Blake Butera doesn’t know yet the immediate next steps, but have to assume it includes an MRI.

Too bad, he looked really sharp through his first 5 batters, like he had figured it out.   :(

the velo drop was instantaneous. 1st 2 fastballs of the AB were around 95, last 2 were 90. I think it popped then. Maybe there was some indicators ti was going to tear before that but I don't think it was actually torn.

Tough luck for him. we can hope he recovers and perhaps can be a lefty bullpen piece.

opens up a 40 man roster slot if they want to bring Alex Young up right away and slip Cornelio into the rotation.

Eight pitchers have missed time due to injury and zero position players, what are the odds? It can't be a coincidence that our runs scored is 2nd in the league and our runs allowed is near the worst.

Those two pitchers suspended really hurts with all those other guys out.

Toboni is taking heat for his bullpen construction, but he's got a case for being unlucky.
