He's hitting .286/.363/.522 against RH pitching, rarely is allowed to face LH but only .083/.120/.083 in 25 PA's.

In case anyone forgets, he got a fat contract from the Nats, showed up overweight and hit a pathetic .216/.292 /.373 /.665 for the Nats.  He can go F himself.

it's interesting to think of former great pitching coaches and whether they were able to adjust to modern data systems. Clearly Hickey wasn't, and maybe it's that way with Maddux, the best of his generation

I've got a cap around here somewhere that he and Johnnie B. Baker signed for me at Spring Training...March 15, 2016 road game against the *'s in Osceola County, Fl.

Scary to think that Rusty is only 3 years older than me...





This was the last Spring Training in Viera and Osceola County for the two teams...the joint Nats & *'s facility in West Palm Beach opened in 2017...

No doubt, Rutledge will star for two or three years and then return as the next Foster Griffin, but one who throws 95 or 96 mph. Anywhay, good luck to Rutledge, who with Henry and Cavalli, was one of the Big Three next-generation starters.
