The demographics of Caps games sure have changed from the old Cap Centre days...there was a lot of Venn overlap with Nascar back in the day, now it's more overlap with pairing dinners at Fiola Mare

I'm a bleachers & organ kinda guy but if this is what it takes to keep them playing downtown so be it.  At least this shouldn't suck the air out of the building like all of those empty Vault seats.

This would appear to be an attempt at turning the nosebleeds into a pricey, high end experience. I swear, everything they've announced for this renovation has been VIP this and VIP that. Those Vault seats at center ice are a disaster.

The vibe at the arena is absolutely nothing like it was a decade ago. Much of that amazing energy is long gone.

It will certainly drive up 400 prices due to scarcity.

I can't quite tell where the Halo seats are going to be. I keep wondering whether our seats are going to be removed. We sit in the top row near where Annie Mae and Mike Ploger stand and I keep wondering whether they will take away that area for more premium seating. Our account rep told me we are safe for 2026–27, at least.

Well, the press box is going to be empty now so maybe they use some of that space?

Which is unfortunate, as those are the only tickets a lot of fans can afford.

yeah. we were at last night's caps game. 400s were pretty full, lots of empty seats in the 100s and 200s. Most of the 100s behind the penalty boxes were empty.

To borrow a phrase from WNFF royalty, my seats of almost 20 years in the front of the 400s are TBSIH...and very much at risk of getting haloed.  Better than having the whole circus cross the river I suppose, but I hope this plan dies on the vine.

Does Ted expect people to purchase more expensive tickets? If so, he’ll be disappointed. There is a very direct correlation between team success and attendance and neither of his teams are worth it now

Not to mention the DMV having considerably less disposable income than it did a couple of years ago.

Probably have locking stalls instead of urinals.
