Young put on a ton of muscle last offseason and did it get him even 1 mph better velocity off the bat?
Hopefully this is all fat.

So, Dmitri Young > Jacob Young

Almost 2

85.8 to 87.6 mph. 4th to 16th percentile

Mistaken identity, some think you resemble the notorious Zimmm.    8)

I used to think the same, but beyond the point of caring anymore, especially when unlike the Angelos years, the Orioles are a much better run franchise than this one.Still the mlb.com censors struggled with all the accounts he created after bans, and the impressive reuse of Marion Barry image logos.

Only Kolko asked the questions, which was a big disappointment, I was hoping the new guys would be willing to bring back fan direct questions.
Agree, but the fact is, most fans ask dumb questions.

If you want him at catcher, he needs to be in Triple A. He is not good behind the plate

Yeah the reason Ford is a top-100 guy or borderline top-100 is because catcher is a ridiculously shallow position, not because Ford projects to be a star. IIRC he's projected to be an average to slightly below average bat (relative to all hitters, e.g., a low .700s OPS) and his defense projects about the same (relative to catchers specifically).

So you got a slightly below average hitter/defender. Not super exciting, but that would still be better than about half of the catching regulars out there right now (and certainly better than Ruiz).

Was a BoSox fan as a kid in new Orleans. Dad was in Red Sox organization so followed them. Favorite player - Dustin Pedroia

I hope he doesn’t think that analytics made Pedroia.

One other thing that's more noticeable by the complete silence: Not one  mention of a pitcher who will be on the team. Ferrer, Gore were talked about  in  the deals, as was Rosario who we acquired, but not even a mention of a single member of the projected rotation or bullpen. Not even Cavalli or Griffin. Nothing about Susana, Sykora, Clemmey, or even the Bennett for Perales deal.
