ONeil Cruz made two terrible plays in CF (very far from his natural position) only one of which was scored as an error. Don't blame Skenes or the WBC or Livvy Dunne or whatever else, this is on ONeil Cruz.

Eugenio Suarez has just successfully challenged 2 pitches in a row to avoid a K to end a bases loaded inning. He then tapped out to 2nd on 3-2.

Same game, CB Buckner, the home plate ump, refuses to check with 1st base ump on a check swing call for the 3rd out in the top of the 8th. Guess what the replay showed?

Bucknor really needs to go. Just an embarrassment. Tonight it was ruling that a runner who clearly stepped on first, missed the base.

Must be nice to have young non-boras stars on your team. I wonder how much the potential lockout played into Griffin wanting to get this done. 17 million this year makes a year or two lockout a lot more comfortable.

Looks like the starter got 2 outs, then walked 3 in a row so was pulled. Next pitcher has the red stretch with 3 BBS, 2 WPs, and 2 HBPs before he gets pulled. Final reliever comes in with bases loaded, gives up a WP to move the runners to 2nd and 3rd and to score one run, then the single brings in the last 2 runs.

They needed to spend another year at coach pitch or machine pitch.

Padres reliever Mason Miller has struck out 19 batters in 7.1 innings pitched, to an ERA of 0.0. He's given up 1 hit, and one walk.

Of the 93 pitches thrown, 73 were strikes, only 20 balls.
