If we need a catcher, Dalton Rushing from the Dodgers could soon be available. He openly expressed dismay when Ohtani, who was pitching, challenged a ball call. Ohtani won the challenge and then dressed him down afterwards.

Guardians rookie LF Cooper Ingle caught a routine fly ball last night in the 7th inning and threw it to the crowd.

Only problem was that there were two outs and a runner on 2nd, who was awarded home plate. That turned out to be the winning run.

A’s #18 prospect suffered two broken vertebrae from an outfield collision during a game yesterday. Underwent spinal surgery but currently has no feeling in his legs. Just awful.

as much as we talk about the return for Soto, the White Sox got 3 of their current regulars from the Crochet deal: Chase Meidroth, Kyle Teel, and Braden Montgomery. Meidroth I think is the biggest positive surprise. This deal looks maybe like a better executed Scherzer / Turner deal, getting guys of higher quality that were close to the majors.

Was a catcher at Clemson but they moved him to the OF (he has played LF and DH for the Guardians). I wonder if it was a Harper-like situation and they wanted him to get to the majors faster than he would have as a catcher?

It was consistent with their handling of Jared Jones return from surgery. He’s been throwing between 75-80 pitches per start excepting the game where he took a comebacker off of his repaired arm.
