I think the rotation down the stretch is setting up to be Cavalli plus 3 or 4 pairs of multi-inning guys. Figure:

1. Cavalli
2. Alvarez & Lord
3. Waldron & Dion
4. Irvin & Herz after 9/1
5. Kent & Perales

Leaves 5 arms for single innings and mop up:
Beeter
Ribalta
Cosgrove
Tolman
Kranick

The inevitable new guy getting called up from AAA...

neither Kranick nor Cosgrove can be sent down so I think they are here for the rest of the season. Beeter and Ribalta are this team's hi lev guys. Tolman can be optioned but I think they want to see him as a future contributor. I suppose Cornelio or Yean might figure in if they need depth at some point, but I think we won't see the Schultzes and Zak Kent's again.
