Honestly I think the Cortina d'Ampezzo womens downhill ski course is by far the better of the two.  The Bormio (mens) course may be long & exhausting but it sure as hell ain't as purdy

My wife asked whether Olympic hockey rules require neck protectors because it looks like they’re all wearing something around their necks, although it doesn’t look like the style Oshie wore. Anyone know?

they are required for international play since the end of 2023 after the death of Adam Johnson in 2023. They are mandatory as well for NHL players who enter the league starting with the 2026-27 season as well.

What's all this about a French judge?

Well the kid from Vienna choked. No judging to complain about. Fell to 8th place.

Som soft goals allowed by Denmark. Germany should be tougher.

I mean Swayman let in a goal from center ice. That was super soft.   Don’t think he will be playing again.  Shouldn’t be any issues until the semifinal unless they get someone like Suomi in the quarterfinals.

Hard to see them beating Canada though.

Btw what’s the over/under on how many more guys Wilson will severely injur in Feb tournament?

So how did the USA women’s team draw Sweden in the semis.  Sweden is also undefeated.  While Canada will face Switzerland who only won one game. Seems weird.

Freak injury. Can’t blame Wilson for that one.

It’s never his fault!

Yea it was unfortunate. Looked like he tried to pull up on the hit a bit and then Fiala turned and that caused the issue.

Trouble does follow Tom.

Fun game.  Tied at 3 with a couple minutes to go. Czechia just tied it up.

USA looks like it will get Sweden in the quarterfinals. That’s a tough break.  But if they win that should be no sweat into the Finals.
