Also on Friday, the Nationals acquired cash or a player to be named later from the Detroit Tigers in exchange for infielder Zack Short, sources said. Short will report to Detroit’s Triple-A affiliate. Washington had traded for Short in March in a deal that sent cash considerations to the New York Yankees. The 30-year-old has not played a game in the majors this season.

Slender frame with a high waist and room to project. Primary outfielder with aggressive inward actions and a confident approach. Quick shoulder and moves fast. Good decisions with on the target throws up to 84 mph. Right-handed hitter with an even and slightly open stance. Big forward move with a small, fast hitch. Really excellent bat speed with a line drive oriented stroke. Sequence is efficient with good lower half timing and power will be vast at maturity. Good student.
