Warming Bernabel on fire - 3B, RBI, R, 13-1 Nats. Added a single and another run on his 2nd AB.
I was pleased by his signing. I remember when he as an intriguing prospect for the Rockies. Just never turned out. Seems like a prime "fresh start" candidate. Would rather him get spring training bats than a 31 year old with no upside.

Welp looks like the Pirates have another future superstar with Konnor while we wonder if Seaver King will ever be a fulll time starter. 3 years older too  :hysterical:

Rizzo wasn't exactly running a draft and development powerhouse.  Pirates might be interesting to watch this year.

Was Konnor Griffin on the board when the Nationals picked?

He went right before our pick. Nothing we could really do. Moreso just laughing at us being a worse franchise than the Pirates now.

Lile usually plays RF and Wood LF. Zuck has them reversed.

It will only be painful when Konnor signs a lengthy under value contract through his prime years. Will be interesting what they do with Skenes, they can't possibly afford his long term deal? What kind of trade package does that look like? Can Nats build something around Wood+++? Only works on The Show I suppose...

I dunno MLB seems dumb now, sorry board!

Yesavage is the one who got away in 2024. The mocks had us taking Bryce Rainer, who had a good year in A ball last year (just 125 ABs though).

97mph FB for Cade.

Cornelio: 3k, 1H in 2 IP (and a throwing error). Also averaged 97.

I can be a jerk but we are indeed a worse franchise than the Pirates now and it’s just another kick in the nads that we missed out on Konnor. Let me remind you that this front office just hit the rebuild button on an existing rebuild. I’m not even sure the Wizards have ever stooped that low. They at least tried to be good enough to make the play in and stay a little competitive before actually hitting a real reset. This ownership doesn’t care about you or I. It’s a clown organization and Seaver is likely going to be a bust. And if I didn’t care about this team I wouldn’t have taken the time to sign up for a message board to vent. That’s more than what 99 percent of our fanbase can say. Spare me with your holier than thou message board takes.
