Thanks for that.  Not easy to keep track anymore with the portal movement.

Virginia Tech could be interesting.  They have a guy from Greece who is supposed to be a first round NBA pick.  5-star rated.  Will see how he adjusts.

120 for Madison seems pretty disrespectful

Yale's 86. See surprised me a bit given graduations, but returning 3 starters and most of the bench.

Should be well funded. I noticed one freshman is Jacob Tsai. Notes say Dad Joe played lacrosse. Yes, that Joseph Tsai.

Yale looking interesting. Another 97 point outing blowing out Quinnipiac. 2 large margin road wins over teams picked for 2nd in their conferences.

Via reporter Scott Hughes, St. Johns fires its mens basketball GM after an internal investigation found he embezzled $1M in NIL money.

https://nypost.com/2026/01/13/sports/st-johns-fires-mens-basketball-gm-matt-abdelmassih/ had a high level story on the allegations.

That's Pitino's team, right?

Penn finally beat Princeton. Been a long time coming.  Dad and brother are smiling up there.

Congrats. Progress for the program. Princeton is one of Yale's quad 4 losses.

Looks like a wild finish.  Yale and Harvard at 6-2 and four teams behind at 4-4.  Penn has 4 of their last 6 games at home.  Looks like a slim chance now that Yale could get a bid if they don’t win the tourney.

Conceivably, a road win at Harvard or Columbia could turn into a quad 2 win, but I think another league loss will hurt the NET too much. I think Yale could be a 12 if they win out.

Necessary win for my Bulldogs today Can't afford a home league loss in terms of NET. Although we aren't getting a bid if we don't win the Ivy tournament, higher NET gets a better seeing. Won today without the captain and likely league player of the year. UPenn looked good, especially in the 1st half.

Didn’t see the game. Took Penn with the 9.5 points after seeing one of the Yale big guys was out. Just need to beat Dartmouth and Harvard at home next weekend and Penn should be back in the Ivy tourney.

Even 8-6 would likely make it.

Yes. I would rather just see them close it out before they have to travel to Brown. They have a decent team and a good coach. If they could ever get Ethan Roberts going again they could be dangerous. Hasn’t been the same since a bad concussion. TJ Power is an interesting story. Spent the last two years at Duke and Virginia.  Mostly on the bench. An improvement on recent years.

UNC's Caleb Wilson done with a broken thumb that required surgery. Possible #1 pick this year.

locked into 3d seed. Last weekend has no.impact on tournament. Yale gets Cornell at Cornell, then Harvard-Penn.

Yes. Looking forward to the tourney.  I think Penn has won 6 of the last 7.  With the one loss being the close one at Yale. Long live White Magic.

This might be Amaker’s best coaching job at Harvard.

As big as the difference is in the NET rating, Harvard had 2 last shot games, penn played tough in new haven, and Cornell has already beaten Yale in Ithaca

Radford leading or tied the entire big south quarterfinal against Presbyterian, who makes a nearly half-court 3 as time expires to force OT. Then Radford collapses in OT and loses. :(

Last undefeated college basketball team, U of Miami  (OH) lost in the 1st round of the MAC tournament to UMass. They might not get an at-large bid. They were 54 NET before the loss. The bubble is around 45. If they do get in, it  may push VCU out.

Gotta get that 9th big 10 team in so they can lose in the first round
