That should do wonders for their Sunday night ratings...  :hysterical:

Good grief. So does that mean more than one team will play a game on Sunday night?

Sunday night baseball will be on nbc/peacock. I think they have a Sunday night game for 3 sports- football to hoops to baseball

Well watching Yankees and Orioles. It’s officially not the offseason now.

Minor league deal. $1.5 million if he makes the team.

Its very sad to go to mlbtraderumors.com each morning and see nothing but stories about random guys tearing their UCLs. It's that time of year.

Watching Jake Peavy interview Kyle Freeland. Peavy is about 4 inches shorter than Freeland. Amazing how now baseball seems stuck on big pitchers. I'll guess the median size is 6'4" now.

Easier to throw 100 if you’re 6’4. Baseball is stuck on speed

Well Shantz was 5’6”.

I still find it amazing that Mugsy Bogues and Spud Webb both played in the NBA when they did.  Didn’t even see guys that size in college ball now.

Being a 3+/- WAR player for 17 years likely isn't gonna get you in the HoF these days, though it worked for Nellie Fox 22 years after his death, so who knows.  He sure seemed to be a Nats killer...and he'll always be a Pirate to me...

he's in Dale Murphy territory per JAWS for CF (https://www.baseball-reference.com/tools/share.fcgi?id=wqXJT)

Possibly he gets a boost for his longevity, but he's probably "Hall of Very Good" material.

Why not? It did for Harold Baines.

Good point...2.2WAR/162 games...but that one was just so very weird.  The Sox retiring his number may've even been weirder...

Been watching Giants spring training.  Impressed with Bryce Eldridge's (from Fairfax County) eye at the plate.   Spring OPS up to 1.065, could very well make the club.
