saw the replay and all i could think was "where is everybody?"  I don't ever remember seeing CapOne that empty for a hockey game.

It's a bit like Leafs games now...large blocs of Gucci seats in the 100s that are rarely filled.  But yes, crowds overall are noticeably sparser this year.

I wonder what percentage of people who might buy single-game tickets, or who might buy on the "secondary market," are federal employees who are either furloughed or working without a paycheck. I could certainly see why it would be reasonable to cut back on entertainment spending like sports.

I finally got to see the Messiah play IRL (something has always conspired against it, and almost did again as I had a work crisis and then got locked out of Ticketmaster when I showed up for the 2nd).  I was bummed to miss Kopitar on Monday but glad to tick this box.

Saw him when he was here in DC a few years ago. Definitely fun to watch. Oilers are 9-9, 3rd in their conference in goals scored, first in goals allowed. Familiar story for that team.

He's on pace for 40 goals this season, which would put him at 937.

Logan was chasing shadows on Saturday.  He needs to lay off the LSD on game nights.

For some reason, my mind read that as “witch doctor” and I had this absurd image of a guy standing on the mound singing “oo ee, oo ah ah, ting tang, walla-walla bing bang.”

Caps move into 3rd place in the Metro...though they have played 2 more games than the Phliars & Pinguins...

Ovi on pace for 38 goals...Willy on pace for 47!

This team is really good.   While I like Dowd, getting looks at faster players like Frank has been beneficial

I'm really glad tonight's game vs the quackers is on a Friday night...the last two were rough going the next morning.

I like it at the top of the Eastern Conference, nice view

Red-headed daughter took me to see Caps against the Devils Saturday night. Looked liked the Devils out-skated them, out shot them, yet the Caps tied the game in the 3rd and won in overtime. Mellow crowd at the Pru arena. More than a few Caps fans -- even a toddling tyke in an Ovie jersey -- and all-around tolerance. Many fans from Manhattan on the NJ Transit train. Great shot by Ovie and what a dash by Chychrun in OT to win.

Saw tickets to this season’s final home game are going for north of $400
