Yeah, that was some game.   I'm a Canadian living in VA with a son at VA Tech right now.  Am I allowed to enjoy their win?

No. Nobody in Virginia except those who actually have attended, or want to attend UVA is allowed to enjoy a UVA win.

True story: When we toured William and Mary a few years ago we saw a few students wearing Tech and JMU clothing. I asked our tour guide about it and she said that anything is allowed as long as it doesn't say "UVA" :)

That tracks!  It was a world class field rush though.   I think they were in the end zone before a ref signal.

JMU maybe, but I see plenty of kids in Virginia gear and very few in tech around here

The powers that be in college football have been looking to crack down on field rushes for a while now. What UVA did is probably going to make the crackdown much harsher now.

Probably not, but god knows how many the SEC and BIG will get in this year if they all have quality wins over each other.

Meanwhile, big game James strikes again

UNC humiliated again at home by a disappointing Clemson team. Stadium was empty by halftime. I don't think Belichick finishes this season.

Wow. The experts had this UCLA team pegged to go undefeated and they beat a PSU team ranked in the top ten. I think Franklin is also gone after this season.

EDIT: Lamo no, he apparently has a $50 million buyout and is untouchable. When will schools stop doing this to themselves?

I’m looking at Texas finishing 7-5. So much for pre-season polls. Sark should be gone after this season. Manning over rated.

Well we know why Sark wouldn’t start him over Ewers now. Loyalty or not if arch really was a no bought high first rounder, he would have played last year. I almost feel bad for Sark. Manning’s presence made it impossible for him to get a good QB to replace Ewers, so he was stuck with Nepo QB

Manning played well in his two games last year while Ewers was hurt. Though Manning looks bad the defense has looked worse. His teams are undisciplined as there are too many penalties and mental lapses.

Manning played ok against bad teams. A sophomore destined to be number 1 over all does not sit behind a seventh rounder. The team is going to look worse because they have a qb in over their head. The team is playing to put down good film for the draft now, not to win

Just a reminder that Brady was drafted in the 6th round but I am not saying Manning will ever get drafted or sign as a FA unless he does a 180. I don't believe that more than 3-4 players will be drafted in the lower order. I see no top 3 rounders on the team. They lost over a dozen players in last years draft. The defense is terrible and they gave up 29 points to a one win team.

Everyone thought manning was destined to be a great, Sark had to have known, but the kid is a Manning so he was stuck pretending he could be a winning qb in the SEC. If Arch’s last name was Smith, they would have brought in a starting qb in the portal, not flushed a season

This is a great season though. Only Oregon, Ohio State, Texas Tech and Miami cruising, so we’re going to get a lot of meaningful games down the stretch
