Drake Maye is pretty good.
looks that way. The completion % is not just short passes. The balls he threw for touchdowns were both perfect and the  one to 18 (Williams) was 30+ yards into tight coverage down the sideline. He also had drops (hitting Hunter Henry in the face once). It's not a glamour receiver group but they have good hands and distinct skills. Henry and Diggs find holes in zones, Boutte (size)  and Williams (speed) are good deep targets, Douglas is a quick slot guy, Hollins and Hooper are big inside hands guys. No pro bowl    profiles but a nice group together.

Marcus Jones is a heck of a player, and he's really only a slot coverage corner on D. I believe he has the highest all-time average on punt returns (brother told me but I  haven't looked it up).

That poor kicker. The Pats forced the butt fumble, but this one was self-inflicted. Seemed he planted way too forward.

Chiefs @ Cowboys, on Thanksgiving, set a new viewing figures record for a regular season game - 57.2 million. That gives the Chiefs the complete set -  they now own the distinction of playing in the most-viewed regular-season game (57.2 million), Divisional Round playoff game (2023 vs. Bills, 50.4 million), AFC Championship Game (2024 vs. Bills, 57.7 million) and Super Bowl (LIX vs. Eagles, 191.1 million) in NFL history. Both the NFL, and CBS, are purring at the value of the Chiefs brand, in terms of broadcast interest. So the Chiefs will continue their travels around all of the networks - they've all made clear that they want a piece of the action. The NFL are even saying that the Chiefs may have taken over the 'America's Team' moniker from the Cowboys...

And they're are going to need some other teams' help to make the playoffs.

Thanks for your optimism - I'm not expecting post-season football, this season. Shows how the bar of expectation has been raised - that the season is a disaster if the Chiefs don't make the SB;even Brady's Patriots 'only' went to the SB nine times in ninteen seasons, and lost three.

they dug themselves a hole with the 1 score losses. With three 8-4 teams in the wild card position, Denver 10-2, and the Texans 7-5, the Chiefs need to run the table and hope for 2-3 or worse from other teams that they don't have a tie-breaker over.

Buffalo should make the playoffs, but their shot at the division depends on beating the Pats head to head and then probably the Dolphins winning in Foxboro in the winter. I don't think Pats losses  to the Ravens and Bills would be enough because they trail the Pats in the second tie-breaker (division record). The Pats also play the Jets so there's another possible second divisional loss  for the Pats.

yah, that's the Wild Card team that may drop out to the Texans, Chiefs, or Ravens/Stlrs.

You mean playing with a broken leg wasn’t a good idea. Feel terrible for him - two years in a row reclamation QBs lose out on big money late in the season. At least Darnold finished last year healthy

Crazy ending to Bills Bengals.  Down 10with 7+ left, Bills get a td, then a pick 6, then a pick on a deflection next play to set up the next td. Burrows takes the Bengals length of the field on 2 long passes, last a1 handed tee Higgins catch while his other arm was being held. They kick deep, get a stop and a sack the first 2 plays, but lose track of Allen on a scramble to lose.

Credit to the Texans - but their Girls 2nd Reserves would have done OK with the Chiefs O-Line. Preparation for next season should be getting underway now -starting with cutting Taylor and Simmons. I've lost count of the number of times, after a flag against the Chiefs, that the numbers 71 and 74 have been called, often in crucial situations - it wouldn't surprize me if they have more penalties than the rest of the squad put-together...

Colts are starting Rivers this weekend.

So Rivers, Flacco, Stafford, & Rodgers are all playing. Brady has to be getting the itch again.

Stafford vs Maye for MVP will be interesting. Stafford's td/int ratio I think wins it.

I think a lot depends on this weekend especially if one wins and the other loses- both are playing big games and will have a lot of eyes on them

you're probably right. Or, as we say, it's early. I don’t expect either guy to have a bad game here on out.

Stafford is a slam dunk to win it unless he messes up the last few weeks.  Voters will always vote for a veteran in what will probably be his last season. He’s a heavy favorite now with the betting odds.

He’s got lions and Seahawks. If he finishes losing two out of three and either Maye or Allen win out, they’re getting it

odds have Stafford and Maye heavy favorites, and Allen in the 6 to 10 range. If the Bills run the table and win the division, then I think Allen jumps way up past Maye.

Minshew Mania? No.

And thank the Lord for the Raiders.
