Rizzo and Davey Canned

Davey will catch on with another team as coach or manager based on his WS Ring and if he wants to. As far as Rizzo, he will be on some MLB podcast as an "Expert".

Rizzo cannot be allowed on any viewer facing platform...the man is a complete mess...

Can't wait to see how those other idiots "The Sports Junkies" cover this...maybe they will still have Rizzo on this Tuesday...

I 100% wanted this to happen, yet now am a bit sad-Rizzo has been running the show since I started keeping up with them in 2009 (because he brought my fave player Tavarez to the team ) and I wanted Davey as our skipper in the worst way, and they came through for a few years and 2019 was absolutely magical and can never be forgotten. Thanks to both for whatever part they played in bringing us such joy! And now to find the next combo to hopefully bring the magic back to DC!!

Have you um, ah, heard, um, Rizzo, um, ah, you know, speak?  Jimmy Bo might be an idiot but he can at least get through a sentence.  Don't think we'll be hearing Rizzo hosting a show on any kind of medium that requires using your voice.

And as I reflect and try to fully take this in. Davey won on the setup of Dusty Baker who moved to Houston and was a big part of their continued success and WS wins since then (despite the cheating and trash cans). They are in first place as of today and swept the Dodgers.  Then again during 18-1 loss the other day Dodger announcer raised a question as to them still cheating.  My opinion is that Jose Altuve just by the way he still bristles when its brought up, Was cheating his ass off.

Davey is done managing.  Maybe he can be the special assistant to mascot operations for the Lansing Lugnuts, but he's toxic to any team that puts performance over politicking.

I often found it is much easier to talk sh@t about people when they have no hold over you. And if you listen to a few baseball shows, they all have gm's that are unfettered and will talk trash if they feel they were treated bad at the end. I wonder if Lerner has to pay his extension off or has him with an NDA clause to get balance.

But now that it's over, I hope they come to their senses and bench Ruiz and let Milias get some playing time. And stop this nonsense of batting Rosario 3rd. It was just extremely obvious what they're doing and it's not fair to a fanbase to be this blatant with parading trade pieces around in a lineup and not properly allow other players to develop.

Also, managing in the minors is a 90%+ pay cut and it's rare that ex-MLB managers manage minor league teams, especially ones that managed in orgs that failed to develop talent.

I actually think it's more likely we hear Davey on some kind of podcast than um, ah, Rizzo.

I was thinking that too, that Martinez could end up as a commentator. Another option for him is as a college manager.  He's been making $3.5 million per year, he could probably survive a pay cut.

Rizzo also knows he's not going to be a GM again, so he has nothing to lose.  He already took a shot at them by saying he "navigated the ownership group for almost 20 years".  Problem is he cannot speak and can barely finish a sentence, so he'd have to be a special guest or something.

Ned Yost is 70. Davey is 60. Big difference. You guys are crazy if you think he can’t get a job managing somewhere in the majors. There are so many retreads the teams that aren’t serious hire.

For the old timers here Rizzo will get a job like A minute with Andy Rooney on 60 minutes. Write it out, read it and collect a check. In this day and age who cares what the truth is, people want to be noticed in the media.
