I suppose those far off 2d rounders are useful in trade and draft movement
Funny you should say that as they just traded two of those to the Rockets for Cam Whitmore.  He was supposed to be a top ten pick a couple years ago and the slipped to later in the first round. Many were upset when the Wizards passed on him for BCool.  A bit of a ball stopper from what I read but the team needs a scorer. Just turning 21.

Every few year a second rounder makes a roster, so GMs all agree they have value

Wizards now have 9 first round picks on their roster from the last three drafts.  Some of them are late first round but still it’s an impressive accumulation of potential talent.

Is there anyone on the roster with a legitimate chance to be a top 5 player in the NBA? Top 10? That’s what you need to win, and we’re accumulating guys who cap out as rotation players. I guess it’s better than it has been, but they’re projected to be the worst team in the NBA next year and will probably be in the same position for years to come absent a lot of lottery luck.

I will remain cautiously optimistic.  They clear lots of cap space after this year and could bring in a free agent who could make a difference.  Trades are also possible.  I mean Detroit had a good season and they don’t have a top 10 NBA player.  I also think Tre Johnson is going to be a star.  And Sarr a defensive beast. So call me crazy.

Wizards legend Kelly Olynk traded.  We hardly knew you.  Well we knew you when you were in Boston and didn’t like you at all.

No one on the wizards projects to be as good as Cunningham or Thompson.

It’s summer league. But Tre Johnson looks good so far. Even when the shots don’t go in the form look good.  He will be a star.  At least on the offensive end.

Should be lots of losses this year but fun to watch all these guys play and manuever for playing time.

Agree.  Started a bit slow today shooting but seems an overall plus. Sarr was more active today and set the summer league record blocks.  Bub looked better this game also.

They play again Wednesday and Thursday and I guess after that depends.

Will add that Riley looked better also. A bit overmatched but has a nice shot. From Kitchener Ontario.

No Tre Johnson. No Sarr.  No George. No Bub.
No must see TV.  Might actually force me to watch the all star game.

I’m not going to see any of these guys in the winter.  Unless I get a G League tv subscription.  Maybe AJ Johnson but he looks terrible.
