Back to the lefty stack at the top of the order. I suppose can't do much better when the righty / switches are House, Bell, Ruiz, and Young. Not an obvious #1-#4 guy in that crew. That said, #5-#9 lines things up for a righty now.

There are cries about dumping Finnigan, same I'm sure has said about every pitcher who made a long career of saving games. How bout 18 saves this year and a 3.12 era with 5 blown saves too. one might ask himself, sure your pissed off, but what would our record be without him? Just food for thought

Closers especially top notch ones are expensive temperamental commodities . Even if you get one the fit has to be right. Also they command high salaries and knowing the Lerner's, that ain't happening here. And bringing one up is time consuming and rarely works.

this game is either the end Davey, or the beginning of a turnaround. We absolutely have to pound a guy with a +7.00 ERA whose splits are actually "worse" away from Coors (1.081 against away vs .913 at Coors)

Time for that old soccer chant (to the tune of 'Guantanamera')...

'Sacked in the morning
You're getting sacked in the morning
Sacked in the mor-ning
You're getting sacked in the morning...'   ;)

I groaned last night, but Finnegan is pretty good.

Announcers talking about how batting coaches giving advice on how to bat against this pitcher. After the teams recent anemic results at the plate I might not be inclined to listen as hard.
