Hopefully the third great 3B in team history. Let’s do this!
Here’s a fun fact Tim Wallach has a higher career bWAR than Anthony Rendon.
Nice, now that makes me understand the old guys who really like Wallach!
Decent player. Played 17 years so that’s about 2 WAR year. Career OPS+ of 102 so about league average. Had a couple very good years. Good fielder. Won three gold gloves after Schmidt got old/retired.
The good thing so far is he is taking walks. That is encouraging. Barrels and Liles didn’t do that
Hasn't elevated contact
Pretty quiet in here of late...I guess a .524 OPS will do that...
Number that really jumps out is just 3.29 P/PA, even worse than Keibert. Did not expect him to OPS more than .650 this year as he breaks in, but someone needs to tell him to calm down and stop swinging at everything. Unfortunately, that someone won't be the manager or hitting coach.
I think we're all please with getting good defense and a decent approach. Like with Wood, the power will come. Also, the xBA is .297 and the xSLG is .370. He's getting a bit unlucky right now.
Yep. He's right there with Josh Naylor and Jeremy Pena.
