Here’s a fun fact Tim Wallach has a higher career bWAR than Anthony Rendon.

Awesome! I'd be a little more excited if we had competent ownership, but oh well. Go Brady!!

Nice, now that makes me understand the old guys who really like Wallach!

Decent player. Played 17 years so that’s about 2 WAR year.  Career OPS+ of 102 so about league average.  Had a couple very good years.  Good fielder.  Won three gold gloves after Schmidt got old/retired.

Looked good in the field. Took a walk. No complaints with game one.

Very impressive career stats.

He's not Boras and would make a good extension candidate if he's anywhere near as promised.

The good thing so far is he is taking walks.   That is encouraging.  Barrels and Liles didn’t do that

House has a less aggressive approach, and that is probably why he was always ranked higher than those other guys. Less for House to overcome to stick in the bigs than Lile and Hassell. It's also why Crews is ahead of those other two as well.

So far, so good.  I'd take a high 6 OPS for a rookie season, and then more progress next year.  Wouldn't surprise me if he was the best first round pick club's made since Rendon.  Not sure he wants to be a Nat for longer than he has to, but with almost no chance of the Boras guys getting extended, that has to be a priority with him.  This really is a farm team otherwise.

House seems to hit hard line-drives. He fields 3B.

Pretty quiet in here of late...I guess a .524 OPS will do that...

Number that really jumps out is just 3.29 P/PA, even worse than Keibert.  Did not expect him to OPS more than .650 this year as he breaks in, but someone needs to tell him to calm down and stop swinging at everything.  Unfortunately, that someone won't be the manager or hitting coach.

I think we're all please with getting good defense and a decent approach. Like with Wood, the power will come.

Also, the xBA is .297 and the xSLG is .370. He's getting a bit unlucky right now.

Yep. He's right there with Josh Naylor and Jeremy Pena.

He has been hitting the ball hard.  Needs to elevate, and take more pitches

The hits will come. He's young and hopefully his luck will change. If him and Crews get going, this team looks much better. I think Hassell could still end up in the Of as well.

Josh Naylor, Jeremy Pena, even Keibert don't swing anywhere near 59% of the time on first pitches like Brady is doing.

Batting .247, fourth best among starters behind Wood, Garcia jr., and Abrams. Just need the power to come around.
