I’m sure.  The Red Sox management seems dumb. But if your the worst defensive 3B in the league for years you can’t be totally surprised.  But whatever.  We have enough of our own issues.

He isn't want to play 1B though.

I think that stuck with the Sox a lot.
He and the Red Sox both look bad for how that situation played out.

This divorce may be better for both sides. Devers looks willing to play 1B in San Fran and the Red Sox fixed a problem of their own creating.

Yeah.  It certainly seems better for Devers.  But the Giants' top (really only) prospect can only play 1B, if he can play anywhere in the field, so the 1B thing is probably pretty short term.

you wonder how much money the Red Sox would have had to eat to get Eldridge instead of Harrison and Tibbs.

No way Buster would have traded Eldridge.  He's their best offensive prospect since the WS run.  Devers would still be in Boston if they asked for him.

Oh, I'm sure they asked, just as I'm sure Posey said something, "Craig, your in Boston now. Do you remember that Aerosmith song, 'Dream On'?"
