How could the Nats challenge that? It was an obvious trap live

I'm am not demeaning him or his time with the Nats but HOF requires years of excellence. Again Time will tell.  Also 2019 was lightning in a bottle for Nats. You can add Max, Howie, Zman, Tony 2 bags ,Trea, Stras, Sukuzi, Corbin Doo and a host of others that made the magic happen in that weird and wonderful season.. Just looked at my replica WS ring  :D

Juan Soto was incredible that year and pretty much every year since. Again, we dealt away our franchise QB at 23 years old. Its essentially the equivalent of what the Nationals brass decided to do.

There's no such thing as a franchise QB in baseball. The Angels had Mike Trout and Ohtani on the same team and still couldn't win.

true but the Boston broke the jinx riding Randy Johnson and Shilling. QB's also need great protection recievers and running backs. They are Both TEAM sports

Tom Brady took cuts so he could survive and treated the offensive line players very well from what I read

It’s time to fire Coles. This teams collective approach is terrible. Each at bat worse than the last one. That inning was a perfect example.

Well we got rid of Soto and still can't win.

Doing our part to keep the Nationals pitching staff at the top of the hit batsmen leader board and to keep the Mets hitters at the top of the HBP leader board.

You don’t need replay if it doesn’t work.

Chapman just ended the game with a 102 mph fastball. guess he isn't too old to pitch
