"Lindor will cruise into second" as Lindor bellyflops into second.

When Wood, Gore, Abrams etc are all gone Soto will still be hitting bombs against us. This was like an NFL team deciding to trade their elite star QB at 24-years old.

Time will tell. One might surpass him. He was a name on a mediocre team in DC    Strass and Harper were to be kings b4 Soto and Non Nats Othani and Judge will be tough for him to pass in real life. Judge shielded him last year and Alanzo covered up his mediocre start this season. Will he ever be "The star", Time will tell but  I reserve judgement on that.

Indeed. We can only hope for a slim chance at either:
-the Lerners selling the team to a new uber-rich owner
Or
-a salary cap after the 2026 season? Lol

The righty lineup we put out there has no chance.   I hate seeing this lineup, even with Chappy, who should not be up over House.

He won a title in DC and will be in the HOF.  It’s silly how propel here try to diminish his performance.

He was an insanely young elite hitter who helped us win a World Series and we sold him off with 2.5 years of control left because our owners decided they couldn’t outbid other owners. It’s absurd. This would be like the Commanders deciding they can’t sign Jayden Daniels right now and dealing him away. We got a good package of players who won’t be here long enough to win anything together.

I'm am not demeaning him or his time with the Nats but HOF requires years of excellence. Again Time will tell.  Also 2019 was lightning in a bottle for Nats. You can add Max, Howie, Zman, Tony 2 bags ,Trea, Stras, Sukuzi, Corbin Doo and a host of others that made the magic happen in that weird and wonderful season.. Just looked at my replica WS ring  :D

Soto turned down 450 mill contract and played it out. He took a chance and rolled the dice to 765 mil and the bright lights of NY. Good for him. Pinstripes no longer get you a discount like in the old days.
