Nats pitchers do lead the NLMLB in hitting other guys, though.

Yeah this is what I meant.

His version of it at least, Read some old Shirley Povitch and other Washington baseball reporters columns for a slightly different perspective on both team moves. I go back farther to the racist Calvin Griffith who stated that he didn't like black people in his stadium and was moving to a "White state". Sorry  to anyone I offended by this (and I changed some words to make this more palatable) but  that was the state of things in DC in the 50's and 60's. Of course he moved and the Twins won the WS in the 60s. We had Camilo Pascual Pedro Ramos Jim Katt Harmon Killabrew Bobby Allison Zoilo Versalles  Jum Lemon Earl Batty Dion Mincher Cookie Lavangetto and other players I remember as a child. It still invokes sad memories

Was all before my time, but yes, from what I've read relocation to Minnesota was incredibly racist

Since we optioned Lile. Call as DH is a good choice. Let Bell and Lowe fight for 1st base and the other for late inning power situation necessity.

Soroka gives up a hit in five shutout innings. That's usually his limit. Can he pitch a sixth?? Get Brad Lord loosening up, Davey!

Bell will be back against a righty.

I kinda knew what you meant, but that quirky Mets stat had been stuck in my head for a while since I was looking at the leaderboards and saw 4 Mets in the top 10. And despite Soto's tendency to crowd the plate, he's only been hit once.

Those Popeye's chicken wraps look like a lot more breading than chicken.

Kolko shared some stats on runners that Corbin turned over to the bullpen. The rangers have only allowed one to score. The Nats over the last few years….were a bit worse than that.

That was a good Nats team in the last year...1960. They were in 4th place most of the season, which was a big deal. First Division meant something. Pascual was a fine pitcher. Killebrew, Allison, and Jim Lemon were big sluggers.

Has anyone read anything saying that O's Henderson's little brother is still our 1st round pick in the draft or not.

I get comfort from contact that takes a high arc towards Young in center.

Zuck mentioned in his pre-game write-up that Corbin's peripherals aren't much different than they were as a Nat. All other things still being equal, keeping your inherited runners from scoring can really affect your ERA and W-L record.
