Don’t you think he needs to sit a few games and watch? Sometimes playing through it doesn’t work. The best thing for him at this point might be to sit and watch a few games.
tbh, I would watch the ks and the quality of the contact. I might have sat him in the series after the Phillies. That's when he seemed to be stuck and the Ks went up. Now, I am not sure. If he has a couple of games in a row with 2 or more ks, then sit him

I assume you mean the Nats. Hasn't been a problem for the Cards

Playing against the Nats makes this baseball thing seem pretty easy.

García looking good on defense today though.

I know Crews is struggling like most players in their sophomore season. Add to the fact we haven't had a real power hitting center fielder in years. that's tough to overcome. We seem to be a feeder team for the rich clubs now. I am more concerned that the only reliable starter is Gore. Brad Lord is coming off multiple serious arm injuries but he deserves a chance to start.  Everyone else has taken a step back this season. Relief pitching is a disaster with the exception of Finnigan who is 34 years old with a couple of possible 8th inning pitchers who may check his place. This is another 5 year plan. Will CJ stay or leave for big bucks like so many others. Lots of thoughts watching a team stuck in limbo. Hang tough, this beats the heck out of a 33 year "road trip" for all DC fans

GTW The Jury is out on James Woods for me. He can make a great catch then misses easy ones. Future 1st base of DH?

I put Crews more in the figuring things out stage of his career than the he's a bust stage.

They need to start thinning the deadwood.  Shake up the rotation, play hot hitters...

If Laz called that last one to Wood a strike, even he'd get fired

Laz don't blow strike 2, then no bunt sacrifice

:hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical:

I finally RETIRED! Spending most of my time trying harder to get my golf game together than fix this Washington Nationals team. When you get into your 60s, you start realizing you might only have a handful of years left to play golf so that’s what I’m doing for now. I record all the games and fast-forward through the long, agonizing, slow moving defeats.
I’m still hoping like the rest of you that something will start to click for our guys, and we can sneak into the playoffs and do some damage! “PLAYOFFS”???  :hysterical:

All of you on this board are great baseball fans that have endured a lot since that championship season. It absolutely hurts my heart every time we face the Philadelphia Phillies. Brutal.
