Say what you will about ownership, but they handled Bob's retirement with a lot of class. It was a tremendous sendoff.

I was always fine with Bob Carpenter. Rob Dibble, FP Santangelo, and now Frandsen, he some interesting people with him.

Early FP before he get very sanctimonious was an incredible announcer duo in my book

Happy Bob got to go out on his own terms.

Been listening to him call games since I was 11 years old, and he was so kind to my little brothers when they got to meet him during on-field BP years ago.

He’ll be missed.

He showed up at a Wnff M&G back in the day, nice guy.  And the dulcet tones of Carp's voice will always be the sound of Nats baseball to me (with all due respect to C&D), right down with the "see...you...caught at the warning track"  :P
