Nationals have an ace and one no doubt middle of the order star bat. Not bad pieces to build around.

They also have other pieces like Abrams, back of the rotation guys, some bullpen guys who are adequate, and hopefully Crews and House hit. That's not a bad team at its core. Need to supplement it though.

CJ is having a great year.  3.2 bWAR already.  Problem is they probably won’t be able to or want to sign any of these guys to build around.

Winning a series against Detroit is impressive. Actually makes me wonder if they are paper Tigers…
That’s baseball.

We don't get real change until new ownership, but the Rizzo/Davey/Hickey/Coles show is way past its expiration date.  Hope for more sunshine in 2026 grows with each loss now.

The owner is still the same cheapskate bastard as before, though.

Oops, forgot that this was the Sunshine thread there for a sec... pardon me  ;)

The Rockies and White Sox still have worse records than we do...

While the bullpen is still 30th in ERA, hit batters, and K/BB, the Athletics now have a higher reliever WHIP than the Nats

Zimmerman and Desmond lead the Nats to a win at the home run derby X in Atlanta.
