LOL! I'm surprised there are no numbers or special characters in it!

On SoSH, there's a few comments about what will be on his jersey. Garcia%51. His jersey will need to change every 30 days. Can't put Garcia because he needs 10-12 characters and at least one upper case letter, one lower case, a digit, and a special character.

He was someone I was interested in the Nats pursuing at one point last offseason.

In terms of that Karen Philly fan situation, I just have one thing to say. Why were there so many Phillies fans at a Marlins home game?
Also, the guy lost a lot of masculinity the way he shuddered when she approached him.

Lots of folks from the north in Miami. Probably more Phillies fans than Marlins fans in the area.

I just couldn't imagine going to a Kraken game and wearing a Caps jersey. Too much respect for the people in the North West to do that.

With 2 outs, bottom of the 9th, Jackson Holliday sneaks a HR over the RF fence to the left of the scoreboard to break up Yoshinobu Yamamoto's no hitter bid

After that, Treinen loaded the bases and walked in a run. Roberts pulling him for Tanner Scott with bases juiced, 3-2.

Chapman and Jansen rate 6th and 7th in fWAR among relievers  all time, just ahead of Billy Wagner. Top 5 are all in  (Rivera, Gossage, Hofffman, Fingers, and Smith). It's a little more coin-flippy after Wagner among #9-#18: Doug Jones, Craig Kimbrel, Tom Henke, Eck, Joe Nathan, Hoyt Wilhelm, Lindy McDaniel, Papelbon, Bruce Sutter, and David Robertson.

Jay Jaffe ranks Jansen as a better candidate than Chapman by his R-JAWS, which uses bWAR, WPA, and "situational wins" (WPA/LI). He calls Jansen the best reliever currently outside the HoF on that basis. He'd be 4th on WPA among HoF relievers. He lumps Chapman, Kimbrel, and David Robertson close together on R-JAWS but says Chapman is substantially strengthening his case currently. Robertson's lack of saves will hurt him.
https://blogs.fangraphs.com/cooperstown-notebook-the-2025-progress-report-part-i/

I think he's got a better shot than Jansen and Kimbrel. I just  think the overwhelming fastball velocity gives him more  glamour than the others. Add in the NYY time, too, as a plus. Jaffe notes may get punished by some voters for the domestic violence accusation in 2016. Oddly, all 3 of Kimbrel, Jansen, and Chapman pitched in Boston.

I think Wagner getting in is pretty big and will help open the door for Jansen, Chapman, etc.

Going into this season I would have put Chapman in a half tier below Kimbrel, now I think that's reversed. Jansen is still the most likely to be the next relief pitcher inducted I think on the back of all the saves.

This season, Chapman has the lowest BAA and OPS against ever for a reliever (.113 / .346). His 2014 season was 3rd best ever.

For comparison, Kirby Yates is #2 in OPS at .407 against.

He probably still has a few years ahead of him. I have to think he's Cooperstown-bound.

here's the HoF stats for relievers - https://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/jaws_RP.shtml

with Kimbrel, it's either he's in already or he's not getting in. With Chapman, it looks like one more decent year of closing (not this level) and he'll have more compiling stats to go with the rates.
