Law shut down with soreness. That'll do it for his season
Good. Didn’t want to see him again. DFA him after the season
Keibert Ruiz was still dealing with headaches, so he was examined again by a specialist, who diagnosed him with a concussion. He has been transferred to the 7-day IL, which actually makes him eligible to return Tuesday if he’s cleared by the doctor.
DeJong heading to DC per Golden. No announced moves yet but Chaparro should probably be looking for boxes.
* Andrew Chafin threw another simulated game this afternoon before the rain arrived, and the veteran left-hander could be ready to come off the 15-day IL provided he experiences no setbacks with his recovery from the outing. Chafin, who strained his right hamstring stretching to catch a throw at first base July 8, has been running well and appears to be close to returning to the active bullpen.* Dylan Crews has ramped up his baseball activities, hitting off a tee and taking soft-toss batting practice in the cage. The 22-year-old outfielder, who suffered an oblique strain May 21, will continue to be brought along slowly to avoid any recurrence of pain. But the Nationals appear encouraged by his recent progress.
When Chafin returns, who gets sent down first? Salazar or Loutos? Is Lara ready for MLB long reluief? If so, then maybe Rutledge can find his control in Rochester,
Now that Lara made his debut send Rutledge and Salazar away.
Chafin listed in the bullpen tonight.
That's gotta be it for Williams' season, no?
Yup. What a waste.
Williams to the IL with an elbow sprain. Loutus recalled. Ruiz off the IL, Millas back to Rochester
bigger waste is Ruiz ...
