Adams starting the day game after a night game shows how much they plan to use Millas. I don't understand why they traded for him.

Good.   Didn’t want to see him again.   DFA him after the season

 Yea, why would we want a reliever with an ERA under 4?

Keibert Ruiz was still dealing with headaches, so he was examined again by a specialist, who diagnosed him with a concussion. He has been transferred to the 7-day IL, which actually makes him eligible to return Tuesday if he’s cleared by the doctor.

DeJong heading to DC per Golden. No announced moves yet but Chaparro should probably be looking for boxes.

is Tena still here? DeJong would be the backup infielder. He can field. I suppose Tena and Rosario give them lefty and righty back ups, while Chappy is not getting ABs with Bell and Lowe relatively hot. Chappy replaced Nunez, so maybe that is a spot for a fielder

In theory, PDJ can play SS. Might be good to get CJ a day off

Zuck with a couple of updates (he also says DeJong is going to be in a utility role playing 3rd, SS, and 2nd):

Quote
* Andrew Chafin threw another simulated game this afternoon before the rain arrived, and the veteran left-hander could be ready to come off the 15-day IL provided he experiences no setbacks with his recovery from the outing. Chafin, who strained his right hamstring stretching to catch a throw at first base July 8, has been running well and appears to be close to returning to the active bullpen.

* Dylan Crews has ramped up his baseball activities, hitting off a tee and taking soft-toss batting practice in the cage. The 22-year-old outfielder, who suffered an oblique strain May 21, will continue to be brought along slowly to avoid any recurrence of pain. But the Nationals appear encouraged by his recent progress.

When Chafin returns, who gets sent down first? Salazar or Loutos? Is Lara ready for MLB long reluief? If so, then maybe Rutledge can find his control in Rochester,

Rizzo seems to still be high on Mason Thompson, who's rehabbing in Rochester now.  Lara stays down, he didn't burn an option today as the 27th player.  I don't know how you keep Loutos around, but Salazar is a waste of a roster spot as well.   All part of the tough decision making required after half a decade of salary dumps, and a decade+ of miserable drafting and development.
