White six had to drown out sell the team chants with white noise during their fan fest

No such chants yesterday. True believers. That said, I think the Lerner family might have been mentioned once.

lots of references to the Commies. Between the doink and Gonzalez 47 plus some hate on Philly, and Davey wearing Commie gear, plus the two 2s from LSU, just a lot of Commies on the mind

Davey: no longer we are coming. We are here this year.

Watch out Miami, we're coming for your low payroll leadership.  I know this is one battle Mini Me is committed to.

Read the TalkNats summary of the event, and they mentioned more summer concerts.  Makes sense with Mini Me's plans to sell as many tickets as possible through concerts and visiting fans, neither of which require committing more money to Nats players.  He's going to ride the 2019 WS as long as he owns this thing.

Yes, not to snipe at TN, but the summary focused on the experience side. Some handsome, well informed commenter added a lot of the baseball info based of his summary here.

You've got to wonder, how many more years can he ride the 2019 WS without losing considerable ticket sales revenue?

They need signs of improvement. Say, hang near .500 and end up with 76 wins or more. Crews RotY would help.

They had flat attendance last year in spite of the W-L record and high ticket prices.

Seems like he think's he's hit a revenue floor, and can do ok financially with lawyers/lobbyist renewals, visiting fans, and summer concerts.

All of that would take a miracle...

This is a ticketed event for SPH where Rizzo, Davey, some marketing folks, and maybe a current / former player like Zimmerman or Gio talk about the upcoming season - the team, the system, ballpark events, etc... In the past they've solicited questions from the attendees in advance but they've gotten away from that. Nevertheless, there's usually a bit of news. I'll try to post here during the event.

They often summarize the promo schedule, but that is posted already. [add link]

I've run into PowerBoater there a few times in recent years. Anyone else going?

Missed it this year. These were better when they allowed fan questions. I wonder if they'll ever bring back either the Winter Caravan or Fan Fest. Those were popular events and not just limited to plan holders.

PB69, it's been a minute.  Can't believe there's no fan fest.  Out here the Giants have one in Napa, one in San Jose, and another at the ballpark.  But they also treat their fans as something more than dollar signs.

Valerie Camillo has been gone for a while but under her leadership the team marketing shifted from trying to bring in a large quantity of fans to trying to squeeze the core fans. It worked when the team was on the rise and having great seasons but it's not so great when the team is struggling.

Fan Fest is a big event to set up and host, but the Winter Caravan was simple, load up the Nats Mobile with the mascots, Nats Pack, and any available players and hit up every sports bar and youth sporting event around town. Bring some prizes and ticket coupons.

That's sad. I wonder if they are still entertaining the idea of selling the team...

If that's all they got, they are gonna be sadly disappointed...

I'd bet on Ke$ha driving more attendance than Dylan Crews.

I understood this 12 months ago. The last 12 months haven't been great.

My guess is he looks like he was built in a lab and seems like a good kid, so they're just in love. I'm not writing him off at his young age, but I am confused by any thought him contributing in DC next year that isn't based on hope.
